HOMESTEAD/FLORIDA CITY DOES HAVE GOOD TASTE!

South Florida does not only host a heck of a lot of wine drinkers...we also host our own winery. Two very nice residents, Peter and Denisse Schnebly have opened a winery right up the road from our home. Go to the link below to see the article on the winery. One more place to visit when you come to visit me!

Heisler's Dairy Bar...my first job!
My first job was scooping ice cream at Heisler's Dairy Bar. We had a wonderful time working there with Pearl and Morris Heisler. I used to call them Mom and Pop. We cemented many strong friendships that continue today by carpooling and working together. Nancy Fenstermacher, Diane Martin, Nancy Jones and Bonny Mohrbach to name a few! What great times we had. I think we should have paid them for working there as we really enjoyed it! Go to the link below to see a local newspaper article on the dairy. The new owner, Leonard, was just a little whipper snapper when we worked there! Every visit home includes a visit to Heisler's for a C.M.P. No one else makes them....vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, marshmallow creme and peanuts!

Wood Floors are Installed in New Sewing Room

We have three empty bedrooms and my husband decided that I could claim one as my sewing room. Actually....he just wants to claim more of the room that used to be the laundry room/sewing room/and his office. He needs more office space.

Elias and his friend Nick finished installing the Brazilian cherry wood floors. They look great. Go to the link below and see what you think.

Barbara Helm's Gift to Our Unborn Grandson

My good friend, Barbara Helms, is my crafting partner. This past week she gave my daughter and her husband a gift that they just don't have enough words to tell her how much they appreciate it. Barbara did a mural on their unborn son's room. The theme is under the sea and it is complete with fish, coral, sand, water, bubbles, etc. It is complete and beautiful. She also did a palm tree over the baby's crib. Go to the link to see more pictures of this wonderful creation!!! WOW!!!

Danny Meneses....Triathalon Man!
Our son, Danny, recently competed in the Crandon Park Triathalon. He came in
as number 374 out of 700 and this was his first race of the season. Above is Danny as the swimmer, runner and at the end with his girlfriend, Mandy. We are very proud of Danny.
