The Great Flood in Tamaqua!

A few weeks ago my home town of Tamaqua, Pa. had tremendous rains. My mother's home is in the downtown section and there is something called the Wabash that runs underneath the town. I believe it was used to divert water flow from the mountains running through the downtown area. Well, the Wabash decided to fill up and on Rowe Street, it even burst through the grown in a back yard. My mother's basement was flooded. Above pictures show the front basement, my mom showing the water level after clean up and the back basement flooded. There is a toilet next to the washer and dryer but it is underwater. Bad result....the dryer and freezer were not working. Good result.....my Mom looked down the cellar door and saw her strainer that she could not find floating around.
